    About the Rakuten NFT.

    Non-fungible tokens have taken over the digital world, with celebrities and influencers showing interest in various NFTs. The most expensive NFT, called ‘The Merge,’ by the artist Pak, was sold for a whopping 91.8 US dollars. It was sold to around 29,000 collectors.

    Rakuten NFT is a service that offers a marketplace for users to buy and sell NFTs in a variety of categories, including sports and entertainment, such as music and anime. It also includes a one-stop platform that allows IP holders to create their own websites to issue and sell NFTs.

    Users can earn and spend Rakuten Points by using their Rakuten ID while making purchases. The user interface is similar to other marketplaces. The non-fungible tokens purchased by the users can be added to a collection on the buyer’s own website. The NFTs can also be listed on the marketplace and sold; furthermore, other payment methods will also be introduced later on.

    Additionally, according to the statement, new features will be introduced in the future, and a peer-to-peer service for minting and selling NFT content is set to open in 2023.

    On Friday, an NFT based on “Ultraman” anime CG materials and an NFT based on the horse racing-themed comic “Kurogane Hiroshi G1 Gekitoshi (2010 Series),” which includes images by renowned manga artist Hiroshi Kurogane, was released.

    Reportedly, NFTs with rare videos, such as famous scenes from TV Asahi Corporation series, and NFT trading cards of rock idol group Under Beasty from Daiki Sound Co Ltd, as well as NFT artwork by modern artists from the Art Powers Japan Association, are in the works. NFTs depicting characters from Bandai Namco Pictures Inc’s popular anime “Tiger & Bunny 2” are also on the list.

    Future plans and prospects for Rakuten.

    Rakuten started a cryptocurrency exchange in the summer of 2019 and allowed consumers to deposit bitcoin into their Rakuten Pay accounts in the spring of 2021. This was the first venture by Rakuten into the virtual world.

    Rakuten NFT also plans to build the Rakuten NFT Art Gallery, which will consist of a collection of original NFT artwork selected by Rakuten NFT. The company is considering producing and distributing the J.League NFT Collection Players Anthem, naming it the J.League official NFT collection.

    The Rakuten NFT Art Gallery will debut with a collection of digital artwork, including pieces from Orihara, Ado’s image creator. Rakuten NFT Art Gallery sales are planned to begin in May 2022 or later in 2023.
