What is Metaverse anyway?
Simply put, Metaverse is the next generation of the Internet. Owing to the boom of digital creators, it is a virtual world created as an extension to the physical world. The key to this world lies in the hands of virtual reality and augmented reality headsets.
It is also decentralised, meaning that no one owns the Metaverse. It is the users who may take control over their private data using blockchain technology.
In Metaverse, human beings are projected as “avatars”. There is a venue for all kind of activities and collaboration, social communities and live interaction opportunities with others.
Do not confuse Metaverse for a gaming platform,it can be used for entertainment, education, business, recreational activities and even hold events like wedding! Metaverse is much like the world we live in, the only difference is that it is a virtually shared world.

- Choosing the correct VR Headset is important. The best options in markets include Meta Quest 2 by Meta (formerly Facebook), Playstation VR and Valve Index.
- Create your account using connected services like Google, Microsoft or Slack. Once in, create your own avatar and name it! You can choose from a variety of options available in the character menu or you can upload image/gif of your own.
- Metaverse participants can buy, sell and exchange items like digital assets. These include their self-made avatars, NFTs , virtual property, event tickets and much more.
Metaverse and NFTs are closely related. Metaverse allows people to showcase their digital assets via NFTs give them value. NFTs act as a proof of identification and are needed for the transaction of digital assets inside Metaverse.
