The world’s first NFT cricket game has officially been launched!

Cricket is a sport that brings the entire country together. When you add Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to the mix, you’ve effectively used blockchain technology to monetize the sport and the supporters’ time. NFTs are digital tokens that reflect virtual or actual asset ownership. They can be linked to goods found in the metaverse as well as items made in the current world.

    GuardLink’s breakthrough

GuardianLink, based in Chennai, has done just that by tying NFTs to cricket, the world’s most popular sport. On March 23, 2022, the blockchain solutions company introduced a first-of-its-kind play-to-earn (P2E) cricket game employing NFTs. It’s a multiplayer game, and given how popular cricket is in so many countries, the business expects it to do well globally. In the first quarter of FY23, the game will be available for public play.

The game’s official website was launched on the same day as the announcement and is housed on GuardianLink’s NFT marketplace, Jump.trade. Supporters and potential NFT buyers can sign up for the waitlist, which will be open for the next 27 days. The website is presently conducting a Super Loot, in which visitors can win a “premium NFT collection” as well as “unlock rare goodies.”

“Watching cricket in India has always been a joy for all cricket fans, especially with the new formats.” “We believe that now is the right time to announce the debut of India’s first NFT cricket game, which will be a one-of-a-kind offering for any cricket fan,” said Ramkumar Subramaniam, co-founder, and CEO of GuardianLink.

The first Indian metaverse dedicated to cricket

GuardianLink also plans to establish the first Indian metaverse dedicated to cricket, according to Subramaniam. Users will be able to pick between two game modes. “Users can play in both free and pay-to-win modes,” he continued, “subject to the end-goal, which could be pure amusement or passive income.”

Players will be able to trade and monetize NFTs in the game, as well as use them to win rewards. According to the roadmap released on the company’s official website, the use of NFTs will be extended to players’ ownership of the real estate, avatars, forming an e-sports team, and participating in tournaments, according to the roadmap.

    An NFT market for Cricket

GuardianLink has also indicated that it has dedicated resources to the creation of a marketplace where players and NFT owners can easily deal. More information about this highly anticipated P2E game will be released soon.

GuardianLink, which began operations in 2016 and now operates in 30 countries, is credited with powering 45 NFT exchanges, issuing 40 cryptocurrencies, and generating a market capitalization of $3 billion. Ramkumar Subramaniam, the organization’s CEO, wants GuardianLink to be the enabler of a $1 million income for 1 million artists and creators.
