MiWarner Recorded Music has appointed Linkin Park co-founder Mike Shinoda as its new Community Innovation Advisor. The music tech pioneer has plans to work with business and leadership teams to shape the company’s artist-centric approach to Web3. For this, Mike Shinoda is the perfect candidate for this job. This way, Warner also aims to partner with artists to manifest their creative visions.

Linkin Park is known for introducing new paths to fan engagement, music, and content. He was among the first to explore avenues such as Twitch and Web3 for music. Mike Shinoda’s own “Happy Ending” was Warner’s first single to debut as an NFT.
Future of Warner Music in Web3
It looks like Warner is heavily interested in exploring this new field of music. They have also dabbled in Web3 by partnering with Roblox, The Sandbox, Griffin Gaming, Genies, Blockparty, OneOf, Spinterland, etc. The label has also seen behind huge widespread metaverse and Web3 experiences, from Twenty One Pilots to David Guetta in Roblox and digital Genies avatars for stars such as Cardi B, Micheal Buble, and CKay.
Furthermore, they have also launched a few NFTs, including a hi-res digital image of the original lyrics sheets from Matchbox Twenty’s mega-hit “Unwell” and Rico Nasty’s “OHFR?”. Both these two NFT drops happened on the SuperRare platform.
